I decided to paint for the second reading of State of the Planet. It took me WAY longer than a blog would have but i think I enjoyed it much more than writing a blog. I wish I were a better artist, but I enjoyed painting this. Because it is a Nature Poem, I decided to try to put the two together by painting nature and putting words from the poem in it. Like a Wordle!. Picking what words I wanted to use was hard. In the end I liked the way it worked out.
This was a really neat idea, and a pretty good painting, way better than I could have done. But I really like how you placed the words inside of everything like the river, tree and clouds. Nice Job!
ReplyDeleteI really like how "RESTORATION" is at the top of the tree. It is encouraging to think in terms of restoration and not in terms like Lucretius' poem (Plague and death).
ReplyDeleteReally great Idea about painting about nature. Your painting looks really cool and it looks like you took some time on it. I think my favorite thing about this painting is the clouds. I like how you put your thoughts into the clouds. Awesome painting overall casey.

Awwwww, Casey, I really like your painting a lot, I think you did a great job. Honestly, I do not think you have to be a good artist to convey feelings and thoughts and I believe that is exatly what you did. i totally can understand what your painting says and see your heart behind it. And i also agree with Isaac, I love the "RESTORATION". Very nice touch. Great job.
